The Role We Want You For
As Advanced Manufacturing Market Leader, you will have overall responsibility for market P&L, strategic market direction, project development, sales campaigns, client relations, organizational development, and contract negotiations. This is a senior leadership role allowing you to have a real impact on shaping and transforming the advanced manufacturing market sector, by leveraging a differentiating engineering expertise to develop and execute complex EPC and design-build projects.
The Specifics of the Role
- Develop short and long-term strategic and tactical business plans in alignment with enterprise objectives.
- Develop and execute client development and sales strategies to achieve business goals, focusing on sourcing and building new client relationships as well as maintaining and expanding existing ones.
- Act as a Clayco account leader, ensuring client satisfaction for future opportunities and expanded services. Work to resolve challenges during project execution to keep clients satisfied.
- Collaborate with senior executives across engineering, procurement, and construction, ensuring maximum exposure of the company’s capabilities.
- Contribute to the development of Design & Engineering practices by providing technical assistance, industry insights, and ensuring compliance.
- Own P/L results for the Market Segment, working with the CFO on sales projections, project forecasts, and budgets.
- Guide project teams on efficient execution within a dynamic environment, documenting and communicating design assumptions.
- Coordinate resource needs within a matrix environment.
- Establish and develop third-party OEM relationships in line with the Market Segment.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop Design Project Management staff.
- Engage in complex project and contract negotiations, including full-scope EPC services.
- Your success will be measured by your ability to win new business, improve client satisfaction, deliver successful projects, and grow the business through new customer acquisition and service expansion.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or significant field experience with leadership roles.
- 20+ years of progressive experience in EPC delivery of advanced manufacturing projects, managing projects valued at $250M+.
- Deep understanding of construction costs, contract negotiation, and administration.
- Proven leadership in managing large, cross-functional teams, mentoring, and talent development.
- Strong business development skills with entrepreneurial drive.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
- Meticulous attention to scope management and cost control.
- Strategic thinker, able to anticipate trends and adapt to changing circumstances.
