Job summary

Owens Corning Foundation in Savannah, GA is hiring a Maintenance Technician to support plant operations by performing mechanical repairs, basic electrical work and routine preventive maintenance. You will inspect equipment, identify parts for replacement, operate plant mobility equipment, and follow safety procedures including lock-out/tag-out and welding where needed.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 2+ years manufacturing experience, ability to read and follow

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak English.
• Must understand verbal and written instructions.
• Must be 18 years or older and US citizen or have the right to work in the US.
• Must remain drug and alcohol free.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical repairs and assist with electrical installations or repairs under supervision.
• Inspect equipment for wear and report conditions to a supervisor to support preventive maintenance.
• Identify parts for replacement and assist maintenance personnel as needed.
• Operate plant mobile and hoisting equipment as directed.
• Follow safety procedures including lock-out/tag-out and proper welding/cutting techniques.
