The Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Lead is both a people leader and technical authority, responsible for developing talent, setting engineering standards, and driving data‑driven improvements across SQDCM metrics. They ensure manufacturing readiness for new and existing products by establishing standardized processes, standardized work, and data‑driven decision making.

The successful candidate will lead engineering teams in designing and operating systems, solving complex problems, and driving continuous improvement through standardized and highly visible processes. They will foster a strong learning culture by sharing knowledge, coaching team members to develop others, and ensuring work is made visible to promote clarity and alignment. Additionally, they will model and reinforce core principles such as standard work, stop‑and‑fix, copy‑and‑improve, and leader‑as‑teacher to enhance overall team capability and performance.

Minimum Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field required.

Experience: 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or operations engineering with 3+ years of people management experience leading technical teams.

Travel: Up to 25%

Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday. Ability to work a flexible schedule is necessary. Works a sufficient schedule to meet the expectations of the role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop on site Manufacturing Engineering team to effectively support and complete new product launches and process implementation.
  • Design and optimize flexible manufacturing processes to support new products/technologies.
  • Develop business cases, cost models, and ROI analyses to justify technology investments and capital projects.
  • Support development of standard work, labor models, line balancing, and capacity plans.
  • Drive Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) engagement to ensure products are designed for flexibility, serviceability, and efficient assembly.
  • Champion Lean principles focused on flow, setup reduction (SMED), visual management, and waste elimination in high-variability processes.
  • Guide the use of advanced analytics, simulation, and digital manufacturing tools to improve scheduling, throughput, and decision making.
  • Research, evaluate, and benchmark emerging manufacturing technologies, automation, and digital tools applicable to operations.
  • Establish and track KPIs that balance efficiency, responsiveness, quality, and cost in a high-mix production environment.
  • Ensure safety, quality, ergonomic, and regulatory requirements are fully integrated into all process designs and operational changes.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
