Travel:
This position will be based out of our facility in Springfield, MA with periodic travel required to support other Smith & Wesson facilities.
Scope of the Job:
The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer will develop, test, and implement modern manufacturing equipment and processes into existing factories in accordance with product specifications and quality standards. The position will develop new manufacturing concepts based on the latest technologies, validate proof of concepts, and work with the manufacturing engineering team to implement these technologies into production. It will also collaborate with manufacturing launch of new or revised products to leverage advanced manufacturing methods. Priorities include cost reduction, quality improvement, problem resolution, project management and employee training.
Experience with CNC programming and processing new products through CNC machines is required!
