We're seeking a talented and enthusiastic Advanced Manufacturing Engineer with experience improving process integrity. The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer is a pivotal position with the priority of successfully evaluating new, existing processes, and configuring manufacturing systems to reduce cost, improve sustainability, and develop best practices within processes throughout the supply chain. Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

  • Design and implement new equipment, mechatronic solutions, and business solutions to improve manufacturing methods for maximum efficiency and quality (20%)
  • Research and review industry trends and emerging technology advancements by attending trade shows, reading various trade publications, and working with vendors (10%)
  • Work with product and engineering teams in the development of new products to ensure they are designed for manufacturability, service, and meet corporate cost and quality objectives (10%)
  • Project engineering/management, including creating and maintaining project logbooks, design reviews, progress control, pre/final acceptance with suppliers and internal departments (10%)
  • Direct and oversee projects in collaboration with internal and external project resources. Develop formal business cases for new investment projects and present solutions to executive leadership. Develop and control approved project budgets and spending (10%)
  • Responsible for developing and reviewing machine capacity models and providing recommendations/solutions for capacity shortfalls. Provide capability analysis (Cp/Cpk) & GR&R support for new and existing processes (10%)
  • Identify and support production quality processes and procedures to increase production throughput and eliminate impact to the customer (10%)
  • Participate, lead, and facilitate kaizen events to improve internal LEAN manufacturing (ABS) processes to increase production's efficiency and quality. Train production operators on lean principles and manufacturing processes to increase production's efficiency and quality (10%)

Skills And Experience Required

  • Strong appetite to innovate and lead with speed & accuracy
  • Design and implement new Industry 4.0 initiatives around Process Digitization such as:
      • Cobotics/ Robotics (Labor Assist to Prevent / Remove unsafe, repetitive, un-productive tasks)
      • Additive Manufacturing (3D) and Digital Warehouse
      • Simulation Engineering (Digital Twin Modeling)
      • Cloud based computing / Smart Cell Design / A.I. capabilities
      • Democratising Data (connecting operations to gain accessibility to disparate data sources)
      • Predictive Analytics (decreasing downtime, increasing throughput, and overall reducing costs)
  • Experience and knowledge of Lean Principles, Lean Cell Design, Kaizen, and demonstrated ability in continuous improvement
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI)
  • Excellent analytical skills including the ability to analyze, troubleshoot, process, change and improve design and equipment
Education (minimum education required)

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent

Preferred Education

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Engineering and/or Engineering Technology or equivalent field.

Experience (minimum Experience Required)

  • 3 to 5 years

Preferred Experience

  • 1 to 5 year's experience in manufacturing would be a plus

Physical Requirements

  • Medium work – Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and /or up to 20 pounds of forces frequently, and /or 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects

Travel

  • Domestic and/or International up to 25%
