Job summary

GE Appliances, a Haier company, seeks an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to lead capital equipment and process projects for high-volume dishwasher manufacturing. You will drive DFMA integration, safety, quality, and efficiency across engineering, operations, suppliers, and plant teams.

You will develop and optimize assembly and metal fabrication processes, design workstations with ergonomics in mind, and ensure manufacturing readiness for new product introductions while improving OEE and

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in robotics, mechanical, electrical engineering, computer science, or related field.
Hands-on experience with manufacturing equipment and processes.
Experience working cross-functionally with operations, maintenance, quality and engineering.

Responsibilities

Lead capital equipment and tooling projects from concept to launch.
Develop and improve assembly and metal fabrication processes for safety and throughput.
Partner with product engineering to incorporate DFMA principles.
Collaborate with operations, maintenance, quality, EHS and industrial engineering teams.
Design equipment/workstations with ergonomics, flow, line balancing and standard work in mind.
Ensure manufacturing readiness for new product introductions and process capability.
Work with automation and robotics to develop cost-effective solutions.
Drive OEE and minimize downtime through reliable equipment and processes.
Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation such as control plans and work instructions.
Train operators, technicians, and maintenance personnel on equipment operation and maintenance.
