Role Overview: As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer, you will develop, implement, and optimize automated assembly processes to improve production efficiency, quality, and safety. This role requires strong leadership, expertise in automation technologies, problem-solving skills, and collaboration with multi-functional teams to drive continuous manufacturing improvements. Your technical skills, project management abilities, and adaptability to new technologies will be crucial for success.

Responsibilities:

  1. New Technology Implementation: Develop and execute automation strategies for assembly and product testing. Collaborate with design, quality, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure safety, quality, and production objectives are met.
  2. Capital Investment Analysis: Conduct feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses, and ROI calculations for new equipment. Lead cost-justified projects.
  3. Operational Excellence: Apply lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to streamline operations and reduce waste.
  4. Equipment Assessment: Analyze existing operations to identify improvements and mitigate risks through industrial solutions.
  5. Vendor Collaboration: Source equipment, negotiate contracts, and maintain vendor relationships.
  6. Project Management: Lead multiple manufacturing process improvement projects, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
  7. Operational Support: Support various functions, promote collaboration, and develop global process guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
  • Relevant manufacturing experience.
  • Knowledge of control systems (PLC/PAC) and automated equipment.
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
  • Proven project management skills.
  • Understanding of lean principles and Six Sigma.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%, valid passport required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least five years of manufacturing experience.
  • Knowledge of automation, robotics, and industrial solutions.
  • Experience with Oracle ERP, SQL, SCADA systems, and LabVIEW.
  • Certifications in lean, Six Sigma, PMP, or related fields.
  • Experience supporting product launches and working in high-mix, low-volume environments.
  • Fluent in Spanish is a plus.
