Job summary

The Cancer Center of South Florida is seeking a Mammography Technologist II to perform 2D and 3D screening and diagnostic mammography under radiologist direction across multiple sites.

The role emphasizes adherence to ACR, FDA, and MQSA guidelines, strong knowledge of imaging physics, patient comfort, and accurate documentation in EMR/RIS/PACS. Florida license and ARRT credentials are required; MQSA compliance support included.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of mammography experience
• Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology
• Graduate of an accredited radiography program

Responsibilities

• Independently performs 2D and 3D mammograms per protocols
• Confirms exam orders and records clinical history
• Performs precise positioning and uses immobilization devices
• Sets exposure factors and ensures machine functionality
• Reviews images for clarity and repeats as needed
• Applies radiation safety and QC tasks
• Maintains accurate exam coding and prior studies availability
• Educates patients and provides emotional comfort during imaging
• Completes QC checks and reports equipment issues
• Supports cross-site workflow and may assist with DEXA or MQSA tasks
• Maintains documentation in EMR/RIS/PACS
