Job summary

Advanced Technology Services is a Michigan-based leader in industrial maintenance, helping factories run better since 1985. This role focuses on mid-to-expert break-fix and preventive maintenance, including diagnosing electrical, mechanical, and control-system issues, sourcing parts, and updating CMMS history.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent (GED).
• Associate’s degree with a Technical focus and 3 years of related experience in general industry; or 5 years of related experience in general industry or successful completion of the ATS Technician Progression Program.
• Understands electrical, mechanical, fluid power, and control systems. Can analyze problems and perform repairs.
• Must be able to use basic hand tools and specialized tools as appropriate
• May be required to travel.

Responsibilities

• Performs mid- to expert-level break-fix & preventative maintenance and related testing to locate root causes and repair parts.
• Identifies and sources parts, supplies, and repair items as necessary.
• Independently performs maintenance as per industry standards.
• Set up and operate machining operations (lathe, drill press, grinder) and may perform welding tasks.
• Follow 5S and housekeeping standards; drive CI activities and implement cost-saving measures.
• Update CMMS history and maintain accurate records.
• Troubleshoot control systems to resolve software/hardware/configuration issues; use predictive maintenance data.
• Provide assistance to lower-level technicians and lead small teams; participate in training and career development.
• Complete on-job and technical self-study programs; adhere to safety policies.
