Job summary

ISCO Industries, Inc. in Bon Air, AL is seeking a hands-on maintenance mechanic to repair and refurbish fusion equipment in a distribution plant. You will lead a team of 5+ mechanics and help ensure equipment readiness and safety. The position offers a competitive pay range of $25+ per hour, with medical/dental/vision, paid vacation, holidays, sick days, and a 401k. Tools, equipment and PPE are provided to support daily operations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of maintenance or automotive repair experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Repair and refurbish fusion equipment in a distribution plant.
• Lead 5+ mechanics and support a 50-person facility with multiple machines.
• Perform quality inspections of rental fusion equipment before return to service.
• Inspect and diagnose customer-owned equipment to prepare repair quotes.
• Communicate status updates to maintenance coordinator and production manager.
• Prepare equipment for shipping and maintain readiness.

Pay Range: $25+/hour (depending on experience)

Responsibilities:

Our Mechanics are responsible for repairing and refurbishing fusion equipment in a distribution plant by performing the following duties:

• Hands on leadership of 5+ mechanics supporting 50 person facility equipped with multiple types of machinery
• Perform quality inspections of rental fusion equipment prior to returning to service
• Inspect and diagnose customer owned equipment to prepare repair quotes
• Communicate with maintenance coordinator and production manager on status of down equipment and customer repairs
• Prepare equipment for shipping
• Establishes and adjusts work procedures and schedules to meet company demand
• Motivate and implement safety procedures, recognition, and accountability
• Collaborate with departmental managers to meet plant goals
• Manages the work of technical maintenance staff, contractors, or subcontractors.

Base Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in maintenance or automotive repair preferred
• Diagnostic ability and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to meet deadlines, work flexible hours, and work in a team environment
• Interpret technical instructions
• Capability to use independent judgment and work both independently and in a team setting
• Basic computer skills
• Commitment to quality
• Physical demands: must be able to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis, standing, climbing is frequently required
