Job summary

The Taylor Group Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Construction Technician who reports to the Construction Manager to maintain, repair and service Taylor Group facilities and equipment.

This role covers multiple sites and involves electrical systems, welding, carpentry, and timely completion of work orders while ensuring safety and quality standards. Travel to factory sites may be required; candidates should have heavy construction/metal fabrication experience, high school diploma, and the ability

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a Human Performance Evaluation (HPE).
• Carpentry work including framing, finishing, sheetrock, ceilings, flooring, caulking, trim work.
• Detect needed repairs on buildings, grounds, and equipment following inspection procedures.
• Must pass welding, fabrication, and construction tests.
• Experience repairing highly specialized equipment to reduce downtime and costs.
• Operate tools and equipment according to safety procedures.
• Ensure equipment is in safe operating condition.
• Maintain records on material and labor used.
• Estimate time and materials for jobs.
• Follow safety procedures including lifting and climbing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and service equipment for Taylor Group facilities.
• Ensure safe electrical systems and fixtures within facilities.
• Advise maintenance department on repairs for production equipment.
• Assist as needed in absence of manager and schedule priorities.
• Locate and order parts to prevent long lead times.
• Assist in evaluating new equipment purchases.
• Travel to other plants to perform maintenance.
• Receive and complete work orders; maintain tool inventory.
• Inspect completed jobs and ensure clean work areas.
• Respond to emergency calls and report unsafe conditions.
