Job summary

Veterans Health Administration in Florida seeks an experienced LPN GS-7 to perform complex nursing duties under general supervision. The LPN applies practical nursing knowledge, assists RN/MD, and documents patient care with attention to safety and quality outcomes.

The role requires licensure, English proficiency, and graduation from an approved nursing program, with the ability to work independently when needed and to support veteran care across inpatient/outpatient settings.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in the United States in good standing.
• Graduate of a state-approved practical nursing program.
• English language proficiency for patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide complex nursing care under general supervision to Veterans.
• Collaborate with RN/HC P to prioritize patient needs and adjust plans.
• Document care, observations and responses in medical records and forms.
• Perform procedures with sterile technique and monitor patient conditions.
• Assist in monitoring and reporting significant changes in patient health.
• Promote health lifestyles and support veterans and families.
