Job summary

RAE Security is seeking a Locksmith Technician in Houston, TX to install, service and repair electro-mechanical locks and related door hardware in commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities.

The role requires 2+ years of locksmithing experience; Texas locksmith license and a valid driver’s license are required. You will work with a team to deliver on projects, program electronic locking systems, and integrate hardware with security systems.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of locksmithing experience.
• Proficient with locksmith tools and machines.
• Attention to detail; strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to interact professionally with customers and identify needs.
• Ability to follow instructions and solve problems under pressure.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on operational projects within budget.
• Install, service and repair lock systems and components.
• Program electronic locking systems.
• Run and terminate cabling; integrate door hardware.
• Maintain records of work performed.
• Care for equipment and supplies; comply with safety policies.
• Participate in technician on-call schedule.
• Collaborate with low voltage technicians to integrate security systems.
