Job summary

USIC is seeking an Advanced Locate Technician to locate underground utilities in Ohio, mark the sites, and document each locate using company devices. This daytime, full-time role may require overtime and travel.

You will work outdoors in all weather, with 100% paid training and a comprehensive benefits package including a company vehicle, DailyPay, health/dental/vision, 401(k) match, PTO and on-call pay. Training is provided to develop expertise.

Qualifications

• 1 year of utility locating experience required.
• Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Overtime, weekends and on-call shifts required.
• Local travel with some overnight travel may occur.
• Pass a drug screen; safety-sensitive role.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Able to stand and walk long periods; lift up to 75 lbs.
• Distinguish colors used to identify wiring and utilities.
• Proficient with technology, maps and tickets.

Previous outdoor experience is a plus.Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.Ability to travel locally during the business day; some out-of-area or overnight travel may be expected.Able to pass a drug screen (this is a safety-sensitive position).Valid driver's license and a safe driving recordAble to stand and walk for long periods of time on varying types of terrain; bend and stoop; lift heavy items up to 75 lbs.Able to distinguish between colors used to identify wiring and mark underground utilities.Proficiency with technologyAble to read, understand, and reference locate tickets, as well as maps and prints; possess basic math skill to calculate distances.Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.
