Job summary

USIC is seeking a full-time underground utility locator based out of Henderson, Colorado. You will locate underground utilities, research areas, and document locations using CAD, GIS, and MicroStation files where applicable. Travel is required (about 30%), with 70% of time at field sites or home.

Starting pay ranges from $23.00 to $33.00 per hour depending on experience. Ideal candidates have experience locating utilities, are detail-oriented, and can pass a drug screen.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with technology is required.
• Customer service experience is a plus.
• Must be able to travel and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground utilities (public and private) accurately and safely.
• Research and investigate utilities, mark locations, and document each location.
• Document data via electronic field sketches, GPS, and data collection.

Job Description:

The starting pay for this position starts at $23.00 - $33.00/hr., depending on experience. This position is based out of Henderson, Colorado.

Your Responsibilities:

• You will be responsible for the correct, safe and efficient locating of underground utilities both public and private.
• Taking time to thoroughly research and investigate all underground utilities in an area, properly marking the location, completing the necessary paperwork and documenting each location.
• Documentation can consist of electronic field sketching, GPS and Data Collection.

This is a full-time positions, overtime and travel will be required. 70% home, 30% travel. Ideal candidates will have advanced locating experience with all utilities, a demonstrated commitment to quality, and attention to detail. Experience reading CAD, GIS, and MicroStation files is a plus.

What We Need from You (Our Requirements):

• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Previous outdoor experience is a plus
• Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed
• Able to stand and walk for long periods of time on varying types of terrain; bendand stoop; lift heavy items up to 75 lbs.
• Proficiency with technology
• Must be able to travel
• Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners. Customer service experience is a plus
• Able to pass a drug screen (this is a safety-sensitive position)
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record required
