Job Description Summary

Activities contributing to the design and development of products, solutions, and systems. Includes activities related to the technical improvement of existing products and components. Responsible for departmental operations planning and execution or focused on executing professional activities within a technical discipline. Functions with some autonomy but guided by established policies or review of end results.

The role allows modification of procedures and practices related to work, provided the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness, etc.).

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Create definitions of parts, modules, and assemblies in the form of 2D cross sections, 3D models, tolerance stack-ups, and various electronic data formats to support analysis, manufacturing, assembly, tooling, and inspection.
  2. Includes direct people management responsibilities such as staffing and performance development. Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline, analytical thinking, and technical experience to execute policy and strategy.
  3. Possesses knowledge of best practices and understands how own area integrates with others; aware of market competition and differentiators.
  4. Uses judgment and proposes solutions outside set parameters to address complex manufacturing processes with technical variety and interdependent production cycles. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking, leveraging multiple internal and limited external sources to make decisions.
  5. Acts as a resource for less experienced colleagues. May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information clearly, develops skills within the team, and manages performance expectations, including sensitive issues.

Required Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college.
  2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in design engineering.
  3. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future for this position.
