An established industry player is seeking a mid-career Advanced Lead Design Engineer to oversee engineering functions related to high-pressure turbine airfoils. The Advanced Lead Design Engineer position is a mid-career 'hardware owning' engineer role reporting to an Engineering Manager within the Aerospace Engineering Division's Production Technologies team. As a hardware owner, you will oversee all engineering functions related to the production of assigned Commercial, Aero-derivative High Pressure Turbine Airfoils.
This role involves working on a new organization dedicated to improving the producibility of HPT airfoils, enhancing the Engineering-Supply chain relationship, and using SQDC to improve supply chain health and product quality to meet customer expectations.
Responsibilities include: implementing producibility design changes, providing ongoing manufacturing support, and driving strategic improvements across Castings, Machining, and Coatings for turbine airfoils.
This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Final employment contingent on obtaining necessary authorization for non-U.S. persons.
