Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required (G.E.D.) Minimum of 3 years of specimen processing and handling, accessioning, clinical lab, lab testing, and/or other relevant experience.
• Associate's degree in a health or science related field and 2 years’ experience in a clinical laboratory preferred. Demonstrated aptitude for working in a laboratory or interest in biologic or chemical sciences and the ability to carry out facility operations independently as well as in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Routinely performs advanced or moderately complex pre-analytic specimen receiving and processing using proper safety procedures in an accurate and ethical manner.
• Assists in blood issuing and distribution process, performs moderate complexity testing and pre-analytic work in specialized laboratory areas demonstrating proper safety procedures including sterile technique.
