Job summary

Glenbrook High School District 225's Glenbrook North High School Special Education department is seeking an Instructional Assistant - Advanced Support: Personal Care for the 2026-2027 school year. The role involves supporting students with disabilities in both general and special education settings, under the supervision of teachers and related staff.

The ideal candidate will hold a State Paraprofessional License (or Substitute Teacher License) and complete the District Lifting Evaluation.

Qualifications

• Paraprofessional license or substitute teacher license required.
• Successful completion of the District Lifting Evaluation.
• Experience working with high school students is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervision, care, and instruction of students with disabilities under supervision.
• Support daily instructional program in school and community settings.
• Promote peer relations and independence in classroom.
• Coordinate with teachers, staff, and community agencies as needed.

Education

State Paraprofessional License (60 or more college credit hours or pass the Paraprofessional test)

Substitute Teacher License
