Job summary

The Division of Cardiology at Albany Medical College is seeking a Heart Failure Cardiologist to join the region's only comprehensive DNV-certified advanced heart failure program. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care for heart failure, transplant, and VAD patients.

The qualifications include MD/DO with board certification in Cardiovascular Disease, teaching and leadership abilities, NY licensure eligibility, and academic appointment.

Qualifications

MD/DO or related degree with board certification or eligibility in Cardiovascular Disease.
Clinically oriented with teaching abilities for academic appointment.
Formal training in advanced heart failure, mechanical circulatory support, and heart transplantation is desirable.
Leadership qualities and collaborative approach to patient care.
Eligible for New York medical licensure.

Responsibilities

Provide pre- and post-operative care for heart transplant and VAD patients in collaboration with regional centers.
Collaborate with specialists in electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, imaging, and cardiothoracic surgery.
Care for heart failure patients within a comprehensive DNV-certified program.
Contribute to research and teaching activities to support academic appointments.
