Qualifications
- Board-certified or board-eligible in cardiovascular disease and advanced heart failure/cardiac transplant
- Fellowship training in cardiology and advanced heart failure/transplant
- Nebraska licensure eligibility for medical practice
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage patients with advanced heart failure and complex cardiovascular disease.
- Provide inpatient and outpatient heart failure care through a multidisciplinary, patient-centered approach.
- Participate in growth and development of the Advanced Heart Failure Program and LVAD initiatives.
- Collaborate with cardiac surgeons, interventionalists, electrophysiologists and other cardiovascular teams.
- Teach and mentor fellows, residents and medical students.
- Contribute to clinical research and quality improvement within the academic system.
