LocumTenens.com is seeking an experienced physician to provide inpatient advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology coverage in New Jersey from Oct 2026 to Apr 2027. The assignment includes CCU and Telemetry, with on-site duties and day shifts 8:00 AM–4:00 PM.
Call is required on a 1-in-5 rotation, including nights and weekends, with beeper call. Board certification in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology is required.
The facility provides specialized inpatient cardiac services, including dedicated coverage for Advanced Heart Failure, LVAD, and transplant cardiology patients. Clinical operations encompass both CCU and Telemetry Unit settings, supported by established protocols to facilitate continuity of care. The facility requires on-site locum tenens coverage from October 2026 through April 2027.
New Jersey offers approximately 130 miles of Atlantic coastline, with shore towns such as Asbury Park and Cape May drawing visitors to its beaches. The state is home to notable attractions including Liberty State Park, Six Flags Great Adventure, the Atlantic City Boardwalk, and the Grounds for Sculpture. Clinicians on assignment may also find a range of entertainment venues accessible throughout the state, including MetLife Stadium, the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, and Turtle Back Zoo.
The clinician will provide inpatient advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology coverage, including management of Advanced Heart Failure, LVAD, and transplant patients across the CCU and Telemetry Unit. Day shift hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Call coverage is required on a 1-in-5 rotation, including nights and weekends, structured as beeper call; the facility maintains a high inpatient census. Board certification in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology is required for all clinicians considered for this position.
