Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior software engineer to lead design and implementation of data systems blending web and database components. You will analyze and enhance databases and interfaces, add features, and implement algorithms with efficient software.

You will work across systems engineering, development, integration and test, deployment and O&M, mentoring others and adopting modern tech. Candidates must have 8+ years in full-stack development and hold or obtain TS/SCI clearance with US

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science required.
• 8+ years of full-stack development experience.
• Experience building scalable web apps with modern frontend & backend tech.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Strong relational databases and data modeling.
• Proficient in C++ and Python in Linux environments.
• Proficient in JavaScript, CSS, HTML.
• Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI clearance.
• US citizenship required.
• Familiarity with Vue, React, or Angular preferred.
• Advanced SQL optimization and database performance tuning preferred.
• Stored procedures, indexing and schema design preferred.
• DevOps and cloud experience: GitLab CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Pip, CVE mitigations; Agile; mentoring.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of relational databases and data modeling
• Proficient in modern software engineering practices for testability and readability
• Proficient in C++ and Python in LINUX environments

• Demonstrated ability to design software systems to ensure they achieve functionality, performance, scalability, and maintainability requirements
• Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI security clearance
