Job summary

M9 Solutions is seeking an Advanced Engineering Technician to work onsite in support of a government contract for a client located in McLeansville, NC.

The role emphasizes hands-on fabrication, testing, and optimization of electro-mechanical systems, with responsibilities spanning design interpretation, tooling, data analysis, and process improvements. The candidate should have a strong technical background and US citizenship.

Qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Associate's degree in a related discipline or equivalent with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient with fabrication tools and capable of fabricating complex hardware.
  • Strong knowledge of general technical theory.
  • Advanced machining with manual and CNC equipment (HAAS Mills, 4th/5th Axis, Lathes).
  • Ability to use SolidWorks or CAM software proficiently.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Good communication with peers and engineering to aid design concepts.
  • Knowledge of GD&T and precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges).

Responsibilities

  • Support engineering activities from design through assembly of prototype electro-mechanical systems.
  • Interpret basic engineering drawings, diagrams, and schematics.
  • Construct, modify, debug, test, and adjust tooling and equipment.
  • Organize, analyze, and interpret data to identify cause/effect relationships and recommend resolutions.
  • Plan and document statistically based experiments to define process parameters.
  • Implement and document complex solutions for process improvement.
  • Design and construct basic tooling and fixtures for unique tasks.

M9 Solutions is seeking an Advanced Engineering Technician to work onsite in support of a government contract for a client located in McLeansville, NC .

Responsibilities
  • Support engineering activities such as design, test, check-out, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, laser/light transmission devices, or specialized test equipment.
  • Interpret basic engineering drawings, diagrams, and schematics.
  • Construct, modify, debug, troubleshoot, calibrate, test, and adjust a variety of tools, equipment, and systems.
  • Conduct, analyze, and document statistically based experiments to define process parameters.
  • Implement and document complex solutions for process improvement.
  • Design and construct basic tooling and fixtures to accomplish unique tasks.
  • Organize, analyze, and interpret data to identify cause/effect relationships and recommend resolution/process improvement.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Associate's degree in related discipline or equivalent plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Solid knowledge and proficiency in the use of fabrication tools.
  • Ability to fabricate complex hardware.
  • Solid knowledge of generally accepted technical theory.
  • Advanced machining capabilities using manual, as well as CNC-controlled equipment (HAAS Mills, 4th and 5th Axis, Lathes).
  • Ability to use SolidWorks or other CAM software proficiently.
  • Ability to work standing for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Ability to communicate with peers and engineering to aid in design concepts.
  • Ability to use GD&T.
  • Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, etc.

M9 Solutions' pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include, but are not limited to, responsibilities of the position, education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, as well as internal equity, location, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.

Salary Range

$60,000 - $180,000 USD
