• Knowledge of open, standards-based architectures, interfaces, and geospatial data.

• Perform analysis and tasks across planning, system design, implementation, integration, and verification/validation.

M9 Solutions is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support a government contract onsite for a client located in San Diego, CA . An active Top Secret clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of a mission-focused software cloud application.
• Assigned tasks may include analysis of needs, the development of Concepts of Operations (CONOPS), work with the client and other team members, preparing user interface mock‑ups, technical documentation in Jira and Confluence, generation of agile capabilities and user stories, backlog prioritization and management, sprint planning, customer engagement, close interaction with software and system test engineers on the team to achieve program objectives.
• Perform analysis and tasks at concurrent stages, including technical planning, system design, software implementation, system integration, and verification and validation.
• May require occasional business travel to client locations in support of product demonstrations and client meetings.

• Proficient in analyzing client needs and identifying user stories and technical tasks to achieve various Agile objectives and iterative development schedules.
• Proficient in statistical analysis methods and tools.
• Experience with system integration and testing on a UNIX or Linux platform.
• Team player with a proactive attitude and the ability to be productive in a dynamic/collaborative environment.
• Motivated self‑starter with good problem‑solving skills, judgment, and analytical capability.
• Ability to develop improved methods to increase program efficiency.
• Demonstrated leadership skills (supervisory experience, building teams, mentoring, building client relationships).
• Ability to negotiate effectively with higher‑level managers, functional managers, customers, industry partners, and teammates.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Good planning and organizational skills.

Salary Range

$180,000 - $205,000 USD
