Job summary

Orlando Health Melbourne Hospital is seeking an experienced Endoscopy Support Specialist to assist physicians during advanced GI procedures and help prepare equipment and supplies. The role requires hands-on experience with ERCP, EUS, EMR/ESD, and related techniques.

The candidate will participate in lab work, maintain aseptic technique, and provide endoscopic support for emergencies in OR, ICU, and ER settings. A BLS certification and at least 3 years of clinical experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED Required.
• Associate degree in Biological/medical field Preferred.
• 3 Years of clinical experience Required.
• Solid experience with scope reprocessing is Required.
• Prior experience with advanced endoscopic procedures such as ERCP/EUS/ESD is Preferred.
• Current BLS/Healthcare Provider Certification Required.

Responsibilities

• Assists the endoscopist during complex endoscopic procedures (ERCP, EUS, EMR, ESD, etc.).
• Sets up cautery settings for interventional procedures.
• Mixes saline, dye and other agents for endoscopic use as required.
• Provide endoscopic support for emergencies in OR, ICU and ER settings.
• Operate AV equipment for recording teaching cases and fluoroscopy setup during emergencies.
• Prepare procedural suites and ensure equipment and supplies are available for cases.
• Transports and delivers items, equipment, and medications throughout the facility.
• Maintain endoscopic equipment and supplies per policy and procedure.
