Job summary

ADP, Inc. seeks an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) for a part-time role in Alabama. The EMT will provide emergency medical care under division leadership, perform assessments, operate defibrillators and monitoring equipment, document care, and coordinate with responders.

The role includes ambulance driving on emergencies and interprofessional collaboration. Applicants must be at least 20, have a high school diploma or GED, an EMT/EMT-I/AEMT license, a valid driver’s license, and

Qualifications

At least 20 years of age.
High school diploma or GED.
State EMT/EMT-I/AEMT license.
State Driver’s License.
BLS, NREMT (SC & AL).
Driving record in compliance with company policy.
Pass Physical Agility Test.
Some work experience, preferably in healthcare.

Responsibilities

Assess each call to determine best action with Paramedic protocols.
Use EMT skills on medical equipment and procedures (defibrillator, monitoring, oxygen, suction).
Document patient information, condition and treatment while maintaining confidentiality.
Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance.
Act as EMS team member and manage scene and unit as needed.
Drive the ambulance on emergency responses.
Work with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow Paramedics.
