Job summary

The Advanced Emergency Medicine Ultrasonography (AEMUS) Fellowship at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx is a one-year, full-time academic and clinical training program. It focuses on point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) leadership and preparing fellows for ABEM Focused Practice Designation in Advanced Emergency Medicine Ultrasonography.

The program is affiliated with the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and runs across Jacobi and NCB.

Qualifications

• Board Certification or Eligibility in Emergency Medicine.
• NYS Medical License.

Responsibilities

• Achieve mastery in image acquisition and interpretation across emergency ultrasound spectrum.
• Develop regional anesthesia practices in the ED (PENG blocks for hip fractures, SAPB for rib fractures).
• Grow ultrasound program administration activities (QA, workflow, credentialing, system integration).
• Advance medical education and scholarly activity with mentorship and national presentations.
