Advanced Drop Placement Technician - Alabama

Job Overview

This full-time position in Dothan, AL involves installing fiber optic drops for residential and commercial clients, including placement of NID with light reading documentation upon completion.

Responsibilities
  • Install fiber optic drops and document light readings upon completion.
  • Ensure drop continuity via red light.
  • Place aerial or buried fiber drops.
  • Follow all safety and OSHA regulations.
  • Work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Assist team members as needed.
  • Maintain professional communication with customers.
  • Use internal systems for work order notation and timekeeping.
  • Meet metrics for repeats, productivity, and completions.
  • Relocate across regions as needed.
Qualifications
  • Experience with fiber optic internet and home phone is preferred but not required.
  • Own tools, truck, van, or SUV with ladder rack.
  • Own smartphone and laptop (MS Excel required).
  • Lift up to 80 lbs.
  • Good communication, multi-tasking, and teamwork skills.
  • Must pass background, MVR, and drug tests.
  • Dependable, accountable, and flexible for overtime/weekends.
Compensation

Pay is production-based; rates provided upon resume submission. Paid training is available.
