Job summary

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent with 6–12 months tool technician experience.
• Basic computer skills are preferred. Licensure to drive commercial equipment may be required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Basic reading and writing skills.
• Promotes safety awareness and environmental procedures and regulations.
• Ensures compliance with health, safety and environmental (HSE) regulations.
• Promotes quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, repairs and performs maintenance on conventional tools, down-hole tools and other equipment used in the application for down-hole tools.
• Areas of specialization may include: mechanical aptitude, pressure testing, surface equipment, and down-hole tools.
• Performs maintenance, inspects surface equipment, and perform repairs.
• Assembles and disassembles down-hole tools.
