Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in Los Angeles is seeking a Radiologic Technologist II to operate radiographic equipment and produce high quality diagnostic images used by physicians to diagnose disease, pathology and trauma. The role requires technical judgment and the ability to perform the full range of diagnostic exams, including more complex studies.

Under indirect supervision, you will explain procedures to patients, observe safety standards, maintain equipment, and document activities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of and ability to apply theories, principles, practices and techniques of radiologic technology.
• Graduation from an AMA/ACR approved program in diagnostic radiologic technology.
• Active California Radiologic Technologist licenses or credentials as listed.

Responsibilities

• Operates x-ray and imaging control consoles to perform diagnostic radiographic procedures.
• Explains procedures to patients to obtain cooperation and reduce anxiety.
• Maintains equipment, supplies and work area per department guidelines.
• Adheres to required radiation safety standards to minimize dose and avoid repeats.
