Job summary

Christian Brothers Automotive is seeking Advanced Diagnostic Automotive Technicians for our Steele Creek location in Charlotte, NC. Candidates should bring a strong passion for solving tough problems and a commitment to guest satisfaction.

The role involves high-level diagnostics with PicoScope and other tools, software updates, ADAS calibration, and digital vehicle inspections, while mentoring junior techs and ensuring safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as an automotive technician/mechanic.
• Ability to read, interpret and trace complex electrical wiring diagrams and factory service information.
• Proven track record of diagnosing all makes and models (domestic and import); European vehicles or Hybrid/EV experience is a plus.
• ASE L1 or equivalent certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate diagnostic equipment (lab scopes, multi-meters, scan tools) to pinpoint root causes.
• Perform control module reprogramming and ADAS calibrations.
• Conduct digital vehicle inspections and communicate findings clearly to service advisors.
• Mentor mid-level or apprentice technicians to elevate the team.
• Collaborate with others to troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and deliver results.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and organization in the shop.
