Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau, WI is seeking an Advanced CT Technologist to join our team!

  • Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, performs quality diagnostic CT scans.
  • The CT Technologist will have an above-average knowledge of CT equipment.
  • Complies with performance measures and/or activities to assure patient/customer satisfaction results, clinical quality benchmarks, and operational financial targets are constantly maintained.
  • Complies with and participates in maintaining an environment which supports our philosophy and values.

Hours: Full Time or 1.0 FTE, 80 hours every 2 weeks, days with weekend rotation

Experience/Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Imaging Services standards and procedures as they relate to CT scan procedures normally acquired through graduation from an approved radiography school, an Associate Degree in Radiography, or sufficient on-the-job training to meet ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification and State of Wisconsin Radiographer licensure requirements.
  • A minimum of one year of clinical experience in diagnostic imaging to enhance and develop skills.
  • Previous experience in CT scanning and cross-sectional anatomy beneficial.

  • State of Wisconsin Licensed Radiographer license
  • Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire
  • Interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively with patients who may be under physical and/or emotional stress, and to acquire and effectively utilize knowledge of computerized tomography techniques and methods, and knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy in order to obtain quality images.
