Job summary

United States Department of Veterans Affairs’ New Mexico VA Health Care System seeks an Advanced Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (DRT) specialized in Computed Tomography (CT) to staff the CT section at the New Mexico Veterans Hospital. The DRT CT is capable of independent, advanced imaging procedures and will support 24-hour on-site CT coverage.

Applicants must hold ARRT (R) certification; advanced CT certification is required for CT duties.

Qualifications

• Certified in general radiologic technology by ARRT (R)
• Advanced ARRT certification required for CT duties
• Education: 24+ months post-high school diagnostic radiologic technology program, JRCERT accredited or recognized by the DOE

Responsibilities

• Operate CT imaging using cross-sectional anatomy knowledge in spiral/multi-slice CT.
• Provide 24-hour on-site CT availability as needed
• Work independently across varied shifts and on-call time within the CT section
