Responsibilities

• Initiates or participates in short-range and long-range planning, making independent decisions on repair policies and procedures.
• Gives technical advice to management and operating departments.
• May take detailed technical responsibility for product development and provision of specialized engineering systems.
• Coordinates work programs and directs or advises on use of equipment and material.
• Fabricates, assembles, forms and inspects composite parts, tools and assemblies.
• Works from blueprints, work orders, and documents; verifies work per instructions and specs.
• Builds composite structures with carbon and other composites; uses hand tools and precision instruments.
