Job summary

Smith & Wesson, Inc. in Springfield, MA is seeking an experienced machinist to produce components for pistols, revolvers and rifles.

You will operate CNC machines, perform setup, loading and verification, and support production with accurate logs and adherence to safety procedures. Candidates should have CNC certification or equivalent training, knowledge of Fanuc/Yaznac/Mazak/Okuma controls, and experience with 4–5 axis mills and multi-axis lathes.

Qualifications

• CNC Certification preferred.
• CNC controls familiarity with Fanuc, Yaznac, Mazak, Okuma.
• 4–5 axis milling experience and multi-axis lathes experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform general/intermediate machinist duties and set-up CNC equipment.
• Load feed mechanism and verify CNC settings.
• Maintain safety procedures and preventive maintenance.
• Document production and quality logs.
• Collaborate with floor supervisors to meet production schedules.
• Assist quality control to ensure high-quality products.
• Operate 6-10 CNC machines as needed.
• Communicate in English effectively.
