UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator II to coordinate diverse clinical research activities and ensure compliance with study protocols, regulatory requirements, and institutional guidelines. The role involves data management, specimen handling, and collaboration with investigators and study teams.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating clinical research studies involving human participants.
• Strong written and verbal communication and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience using REDCap and Epic systems.
• Comfort handling and processing biological specimens.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced research.
• Knowledge of clinical research regulations and study protocols preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interact with clinical research participants via phone, telehealth, or in-person.
• Coordinate regulatory documentation to comply with industry standards and policies.
• Schedule procedures per study protocol; assist PI with study order sets as needed.
• Screen, recruit, enroll, and follow subjects per protocol; assist with consent processes.
• Maintain data collection for each study; develop CRFs or data tools as needed.
• Assist in developing research studies and writing protocols; train staff.
• Perform research procedures per protocol; ensure proper training and check-offs.
• Assist PI with fiscal management and budget preparation.
• Monitor patient safety and ensure reporting per HRPP standards.
• Coordinate data management for national or multi-study research.
• Prepare annual reports for federal/state/local agencies; lead in required submissions.
• Prepare IRB protocols and amendments; assist with continuing review.
