Responsibilities
- Perform drug procurement, drug packaging, patient billing, and all aspects of drug compounding and distribution
- Provide drug information and clinical service to health professionals and patients
- Supervise Pharmacy Technicians, Interns, Students and Volunteers
- Monitor all aspects of drug therapy in the facility
- Provide services that require specialized skills and/or age‑specific competencies, including adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients from neonatal through adolescent ages, and serve as a patient advocate when planning and implementing pharmaceutical care
Qualifications
- Current licensure by the Colorado Board of Pharmacy as a registered Pharmacist.
- BLS and ACLS required within the first 2 months of employment.
- B.S. or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.).
- Minimum of 1 year of hospital clinical pharmacy experience or one of the following: at least 2 years of general hospital pharmacy experience, completion of hospital PGY1/general practice residency or fellowship, specialty BCPS certification, other certification (e.g., FCCP, FASHP).
- Previous management/project management experience preferred.
