Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–4 years experience in directly applicable chemical processes (cleaning, etching, plating, polishing).
• HAZCOM and HAZWOPER training preferred; apprenticeship or on-the-job training completed.

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow engineers' instructions and specifications.
• Process parts independently on SST and Aluminum lines.
• Manage waste treatment area.
• Prepare chemical solutions.
• Chemically process metal parts.
• Keep the work area neat and clean and sterilize all work surfaces and equipment.
• Regularly inspect materials and equipment and order more as required.
• Work with engineers and technicians to develop improved production processes and methods.
• Complete titrations of chemical baths and adjust chemicals to achieve correct composition.
• Interpret test results and compile reports.
• Visually inspect parts and package as required.
