Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Medical Assistant for outpatient settings to assist physicians and office staff with patient care activities, while upholding Mercy's philosophy of caring. You will communicate professionally with patients and families and maintain clinical documentation using EHR systems.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and MA Clinic Academy training; BLS is required for hospital outpatient departments, with preference for 1 year of outpatient experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• New hire must attend MA Clinic Academy training.
• Current Medical Assistants moving to Certified Advanced Medical Assistant title must complete MA competencies.
• Must actively maintain MA certification.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required for Hospital Outpatient Departments.
• One year of applicable patient care experience in outpatient or ambulatory care setting is preferred.
