Job summary

Mount Sinai Medical Center is seeking an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse to join the Department: CC206738 CARL - Extenders. This role provides patient advocacy, education, and advanced groin management across interventional cardiovascular labs.

The APRN delivers comprehensive care during the continuum, reviews post-procedure orders, and collaborates with interventional teams to improve outcomes. Florida APRN license with ACLS and CPR is required; prior experience is preferred.

Qualifications

Florida APRN license required.
ACLS and CPR certification required.
MSN or higher in advanced practice nursing.

Responsibilities

Advocate for patients and families for scarce resources across the continuum of care.
Provide patient and family education.
Demonstrate advanced groin management knowledge across cardiovascular labs.
Interview patients and complete comprehensive medical history and exams.
Identify improvement areas in groin management and post-intervention medication orders.
Participate in department performance improvement and communicate findings to leadership.
Review post-procedure anticoagulation orders and ensure delivery.
Monitor post-procedure incision sites for bleeding complications.
