Job summary

KHI is seeking a Cardiac & Pulmonary Nurse for the Cardiopulmonary Rehab department. The role focuses on patient assessment, monitoring, education, and support throughout rehabilitation to achieve high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities include vital sign monitoring, documenting care, and coordinating with physicians and the interdisciplinary team. Requires Arizona RN license, BLS/ACLS, and 2 years RN experience in cardiac/ER/ICU settings.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program graduate.
• Current Arizona RN license or compact state RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Minimum 2 years RN experience; 1 year in cardiac/ER/ICU.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and evaluate patients in cardiopulmonary rehab.
• Monitor vital signs and telemetry during exercise; respond to events.
• Communicate progress and changes to physicians and team.
• Document assessments, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Educate patients and families on cardiovascular diseases and self-management.
• Coordinate care and refer to other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain a safe environment for care and exercise sessions.
• Delegate tasks to support staff for efficient workflow.
• Maintain licenses and pursue ongoing professional development.
