Group 1 Automotive, Inc. is actively seeking experienced Automotive Technicians to join Bob Howard dealerships in Oklahoma City and Edmond.

We’re hiring bumper-to-bumper technicians with experience diagnosing and repairing engines, transmissions, drivability concerns, electrical systems, and other critical vehicle systems.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of professional automotive repair experience.
• Proven ability to run your own bay independently.
• Strong diagnostic skills with minimal supervision.
• Experience performing major repairs in an OEM dealership setting.
• Own professional‑grade tools required for main line technician work.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Master Technicians and advanced diagnostic techs are strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex vehicle concerns involving engines, transmissions, electrical systems, drivability, HVAC, suspension, steering, and braking systems.
• Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment and scan tools to identify issues accurately the first time.
• Perform high-quality bumper-to-bumper repairs while maintaining efficiency and accuracy.
• Take ownership of repair orders from diagnosis through completion and manage workload.
• Document inspection findings, diagnostic results, and repair recommendations clearly.
• Collaborate with Service Advisors and fellow technicians to communicate repair needs and estimated completion times.
• Pursue ongoing manufacturer training and certifications to stay current.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment.
