Job summary

Redeemer's Auto in Houston, TX is seeking an A-Level Automotive Technician to perform advanced diagnostics and major mechanical repairs on all makes and models, including diesel vehicles, under a hybrid flat-rate pay plan with a 30-hour weekly guarantee.

You will work Monday–Friday, with optional Saturdays, receive weekly pay, paid time off after 90 days, holidays, a health stipend, and ongoing weekly training as part of a busy, quality-focused shop.

Qualifications

• Advanced automotive diagnostic experience.
• Experience performing engine and transmission replacements.
• Experience with head gasket, cylinder head, timing belt, and timing component repairs.
• Ability to complete advanced mechanical repairs independently from diagnosis through completion.
• Experience performing Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVI).
• Strong computer skills and the ability to work with digital shop processes.
• Must have the tools required to perform the assigned diagnostic and repair work.
• ASE certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced automotive diagnostics and identify repairs needed to resolve vehicle concerns.
• Complete major engine and transmission repairs, including engine and transmission replacement.
• Perform cylinder head and head gasket repairs, timing belt replacement, and related timing component repairs.
• Complete repairs independently from diagnosis through final completion.
• Perform and document Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVI) using Tekmetric.
• Service and repair a variety of makes and models, including diesel vehicles.
• Maintain productivity while delivering consistent, quality workmanship.
• Collaborate with the shop team to support an efficient, steady workflow.
