Job summary

Bloom Energy in Newark, DE is seeking an Assembly Technician for a fully on-site role five days a week. You will perform complex assembly, select materials, and apply 5S principles to ensure quality and efficiency on the manufacturing floor.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent and basic computer, tool-handling, and teamwork skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines and work with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Basic computer skills are needed to operate standard equipment.
• Experience with hand tools and manufacturing environments is preferred.
• Strong communication and time-management abilities are essential.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams on production tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex and advanced assembly of products according to established specifications and instructions.
• Select proper materials from kit carts to complete standard work.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement ideas and 5S principles.
• Use designated inspection equipment to inspect completed work.
• Use various machines and hand tools to accomplish assigned tasks.
• Maintain equipment and perform preventive maintenance when required.
• Ensure efficiency and productivity by evaluating and modifying production processes and/or equipment.
• Periodically checks products per company policy to ensure quality; resolves any identified problems, and alerts appropriate chain of command.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Could be required to travel to other Bloom facilities within the Delaware locations.
• Other duties as assigned.
