Job description

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or a Master’s degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at the time of hire. Applicants will undergo a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position

As an Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) engineer for the Space, Cyber & Intelligence business area, you will be part of a cross-functional team responsible for designing solutions using Field Programmable Gate Arrays.

Duties and Tasks:

  1. Define, design, verify, and document ASIC and/or FPGA developments.
  2. Determine architecture, system simulation, and detailed design approach.
  3. Define module interfaces and all aspects of device design and simulation.
  4. Evaluate process flow including high-level design, synthesis, place and route, timing, and power utilization.
  5. Create test and simulation plans to establish functional criteria.
  6. Verify test results and analyze performance.
  7. Review vendor capabilities, foundry technologies, device libraries, and simulation tools.
  8. Participate in improving ASIC/FPGA organizational processes.
  9. Support the generation of technical engineering products using appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle.
  10. Research and analyze data, such as customer design proposals and manuals, to determine feasibility.
  11. Select components and equipment based on specifications and reliability.
  12. Provide leadership and/or guidance to lower-level employees as needed.
  13. Independently determine approaches to solutions.
  14. Contribute to the completion of major programs and projects.
  15. Plan and execute project tasks related to the above responsibilities.

Salary Note

This estimate reflects the typical salary range based on experience and other factors such as location. Actual pay may vary. The position remains open until filled.

Combined Salary Range

USD $132,077.00 - USD $146,523.00 per year.
