What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Serve as the primary technical lead for analytical project tasks, managing modeling and analysis efforts from scoping through completion
  • Conduct noise modeling and analysis for AAM/UAM/UAS aircraft and non-legacy air vehicles using relevant acoustic simulation platforms
  • Evaluate flight paths and urban environments to assess and mitigate environmental impacts associated with air mobility systems
  • Manage and analyze large environmental datasets, applying GIS and statistical techniques to generate actionable insights
  • Represent the employer in professional forums and contribute to advancing the field through presentations and publications
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • Bachelor\'s or Master\'s in a technical field such as engineering, aviation, physics, environmental science, mathematics, or related discipline
  • 5 to 10 years of relevant experience with AAM, UAM, UAS, or similar in a consulting or applied policy environment
  • Experience with acoustic modeling tools and methodologies for assessing environmental noise impacts
  • Proficiency in aircraft noise modeling software and a strong understanding of their application in environmental studies
  • Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Familiarity with federal environmental compliance documentation and NEPA
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with proficiency in Python, MATLAB, or similar tools
  • Experience managing technical tasks, including planning and budgeting
  • Prior experience managing environmental data and developing custom analysis tools
  • Active involvement in relevant industry associations or technical committees
