Qualifications

• Two years full-time work experience as an Accounting Clerk II or III or equivalent.
• Associate degree in Business Administration or Accounting OR total of 60 sem/90 qtr units with 6 sem/9 qtr in accounting.
• Must demonstrate intermediate spreadsheet skills via County-approved test.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced accounting support, bookkeeping and reporting; lead related tasks.
• Process accounts payable and receivable; post financial transactions to the accounting system.
• Balance statements and produce fiscal reports; assist in budget preparation and projections.
• Research and audit claims for accuracy and completeness; may assist in system development.
• Perform related duties as required; support development/implementation of an accounting records system.
