Job summary

Keene State College's Redfern Arts Center seeks a dedicated in‑person technical staff member to support rehearsals, events, installations and performances, working as part of a team to keep equipment ready and productions on schedule. You will set up, operate and maintain sound, lighting, stage and rigging systems, troubleshoot fast-paced issues, and collaborate with artists and crews.

Evening and weekend work is required based on performance calendars.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in Theatre, Entertainment Technology, Lighting Design, or related field.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical systems in fast-paced production environments.
• Collaborate with artists, designers, production staff and clients.
• Work independently and collaboratively, with ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Sets up, maintains and operates sound, lighting, stage and other technical equipment and systems
• Ensures smooth operation of the technical aspects of all productions
• Monitors the condition of equipment including lighting, sound, and rigging equipment; performs preventive maintenance
• Maintains current knowledge of all equipment
• Stays abreast of new technology and software relative to lighting, video, and audio engineering
• Additional duties as assigned by the Redfern Technical Director
