NorthShore University HealthSystem in Naperville, IL, is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to join the outpatient behavioral health and substance use treatment program. The role involves psychiatric and medical evaluations, MAT considerations, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team in a Monday–Friday schedule with on-call duties.

Requires Illinois license, DEA registration, and eligibility to prescribe buprenorphine.

Qualifications

• Illinois licensure required
• Active DEA registration with Schedule III prescribing authority
• Eligible to prescribe buprenorphine for opioid use disorder
• Experience in psychiatry, addiction medicine, MAT, or behavioral health preferred
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to work under established protocols with Medical Director oversight
• Physical requirements include lifting 20+ pounds and long periods of standing/walking

Hourly Pay Range:

$61.88 - $81.83 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

Location: Naperville, Il

Full Time Schedule: Monday thru Friday 9am - 5pm with occasional evening coverage

On Call: 6 weekends a year

We are seeking a licensedAdvanced Practice Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our outpatient behavioral health and substance use treatment program.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric and medical evaluations


• Review laboratory and diagnostic testing


• Assess patients for Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) when clinically indicated


• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage co-occurring psychiatric conditions


• Collaborate with counselors, therapists, and treatment staff in a multidisciplinary setting


• Maintain timely and compliant clinical documentation


• Practice under the supervision and clinical guidance of the Program Medical Director, with consultation available as needed

Qualifications

• Experience in psychiatry, addiction medicine, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), or behavioral health preferred


• Strong clinical judgment and commitment to evidence-based care


• Ability to work collaboratively under established protocols and Medical Director oversight


• Work requires the ability to walk or stand for an hour or more at a time, lift or carry object weighing more than 20 pounds and lifting or positioning patients, the ability to proofread and check documents for errors, use a keyboard to enter, retrieve or transform words or data, and closely examine specimens, images, or reports.


• On call rotation maybe expected.

What you will need:

• Requires a master's degree in nursing (MSN of MS) or master's as a Physician Assistant


• BC/BE Psychiatry


• State of Illinois Advance Practice Provider License or application pending


• IL Controlled Substance License pending


• CPR Certification issued by either the American Heart Association or Red Cross required


• Current or previous experience caring and managing patients in a Behavior Health setting preferred
